About Karis
Karis means grace. The work deserves software with some.
We build care management software in Canada, for the agencies that run group homes, community living, supportive recovery, and assisted living. We've sat on both sides of a CLBC contract — and we got tired of watching good organizations fight their tools.
What we saw was broken
Care teams were stuck. The tools they had hid the product behind a sales call, were built around rosters and hours with the person added as an afterthought, or never quite fit how Canadian agencies are funded and report. Documentation lived in spreadsheets on someone's desktop, and the systems of record didn't talk to each other.
We thought operations leaders deserved better. So we put the supported individual at the center of the data model, made consent a first-class concept, and built every module — referral through discharge, plus the workforce that delivers it — on one platform, built and hosted in Canada.
Our Canadian commitment
Karis is built and hosted in Canada. Your data stays in Canada, with per-tenant database isolation, and the platform is designed around PIPEDA and BC PIPA from the architecture up. The funding bodies you answer to — CLBC, MCFD, Assisted Living — shaped the product, because we built it here, for here.

Who we build it with
Talitha Koum Society — a Coquitlam supportive-recovery agency — migrated off their previous system onto Karis Care in July 2026 and runs their programs on it today. Karis was built on their workflow, and it carries their residents, their records, and their reporting deadlines. When we say a feature is finished, it means someone is using it on a Tuesday afternoon with a real caseload.
