Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 October 2026. These terms describe the relationship between BridgeNode and the agencies that use Karis Care. Where a signed service agreement exists between us, that agreement governs and these terms fill the gaps.
Karis Care is provided by BridgeNode, based in British Columbia, Canada. In these terms, “you” means the agency that subscribes to Karis Care, and “we” means BridgeNode.
1. The service
We provide Karis Care as hosted software, under the plan you subscribe to. Every feature is included in every plan. There are no per-feature add-ons, no per-login fees and no per-staff fees. We update the software continuously; we will not remove functionality you depend on without reasonable notice.
2. Your data is yours
You own the data your agency puts into Karis Care. We hold it on your behalf as a service provider, use it only to deliver and support the service, and never sell it or use it to train machine-learning models. What we do with it, and who helps us do it, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
3. Getting your data out
You can export your reports and records yourself at any time during your subscription, in open formats, without paying an export fee. For a complete copy of your agency’s data, ask us and we will prepare it within five business days, at no charge — during your subscription and on the way out. On termination you keep export access for a defined retrieval window — set out in your agreement — after which we delete your data on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy. There are no exit fees.
4. Acceptable use
Karis Care is for legitimate care management by people your agency has authorized. You are responsible for who you give access to and for keeping their credentials secure. Do not use the platform to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to attack the service or other tenants.
5. Availability and support
We aim for high availability and maintain regular backups; recovery objectives are set in your service schedule rather than implied here, and the backup architecture behind them is published on the Security page. Where your plan includes a specific service level, that commitment is written into your agreement rather than implied here. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside typical care-delivery hours wherever we can, with notice.
6. Fees and billing
Prices are published on the pricing page and are set by the number of people your agency supports. Staff and logins are never billed. When that number grows past your band, each extra person is charged at the published per-person rate in arrears. We do not re-tier you mid-term or renegotiate on the strength of your growth.
Your subscription includes unlimited storage for care records and documents, subject to fair use of up to 1 TB per agency. Above that, we’ll agree a plan with you.
7. Term and termination
Subscriptions run for the term you select and continue month-to-month afterwards unless renewed. Either of us may end the arrangement on the notice set out in your agreement. If we ever discontinue the service, you will get meaningful advance notice and full export access throughout — you should never learn that a system holding your care records is going away at the same time as you lose access to it.
8. Liability
Where a signed service agreement is in place, the limitation of liability in that agreement applies. Nothing we publish on this website extends or replaces it, and nothing here should be read as a warranty beyond what that agreement provides. Consumer-protection rights that cannot be excluded by law are unaffected.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify subscribing agencies before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the page.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: support@kariscare.com. BridgeNode, 34064 Parr Avenue, Mission, British Columbia V2V 0J5, Canada.
